Julie (J.J.) - Level 2 at Michael Alexander Salon

My husband & I moved from Las Vegas to Arizona with our children 9 years ago. I love being a part of Anthem both professionally and personally. I have been involved in the beauty industry FOREVER! I grew up in my dad's busy salon in Boston, Massachusetts. I began my career 21 years ago, working in a high end salon on the Las Vegas strip as a color correction specialist and of course, a ton of updo's. I have attended numerous advanced training courses including, The Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, hair design and precision cutting classes and received my certification at the Aveda Institute Las Vegas for razor, blending and layered cutting. I have also taught master color classes for Loreal Paris. I continue my advanced training on a regular basis, keeping up with trends in color and cutting.

I am just as passionate about my profession today as I was 21 years ago. To me, being a hair artist is an ever changing and extremely rewarding career. I love making people look great and feel good about themselves. Keeping current on new styles and upcoming trends allows you to re-invent yourself again and again.

I believe that you must assess everyone individually, considering hair texture, skin tone and facial shapes as well as your lifestyle, to make the best judgment for you.
